Are you looking to enhance your toolkit of proactive and responsive de-escalation strategies? Participants will learn practical strategies necessary to ensure a safe learning environment where the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all students and staff is maintained. Participants will examine strategies for building and maintaining positive and trusting relationships; understand the different stages of the Escalation/Crisis Cycle; identify where students are on the escalation continuum and how to respond; and learn effective communication strategies and scripts to minimize interfering behaviors.
Who Should Attend:
All educators (i.e., classroom teachers, paraeducators, special educators, etc.) who are interested in building their toolkit of proactive and effective de-escalation strategies that build on trust.
